Never Miss These Things When You Are in Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro is a good representative of Brazil’s cultural dimensions. To really understand the history of Brazil, you just have to tour the historical center of Rio de Janeiro.

It is a place fragranced with the excitement of classical designs, cultural celebration and is committed to bringing entertainment to the people who go there. When you go to Rio de Janeiro, to have a perfect feel of the exciting features, there are things you must not miss out. There are some activities that you must engage in and I promise that you will never regret.

The following activities can perfect your stay in Rio de Janeiro.

1. Hiking up Christ the Redeemer

This is one of the most rewarding adventures to get engaged in while in Rio de Janeiro. It rewards tourists with the most eye-catching views that are seen only in Rio de Janeiro. The place has one of the most complete and most famous 360-degree views in the world.

When you get up to the elevation, you are exposed to a well-spread view of the entire city. At some point, you notice that your view is obstructed with clouds. The clouds add a supernatural effect to the Christ’s statue when you are up there. Climbing the Corcovado Mountain is a very good treat for a person seeking exercise, beautiful views of waterfalls and amazing steep paths.

2. Surfing at Copacabana Beach

Many beaches in Rio de Janeiro are quite popular with surfers, but the Copacabana beach is one of the closest to downtown Rio. It is located in the south zone of the city. It stretches from Posto Dois down to Posto Seis and the shores are dotted with hotels, nightclubs and residential buildings. Copacabana is also the area where most of the budget accommodations in Rio are located.

It is vivacious even at night hosting millions of revelers at New Year eves and other worldwide celebrations.

3. Helicopter ride over Rio de Janeiro’s remarkable landscapes

Looking from the sky, Rio de Janeiro is beautified with amazing topography. It has very lush green elevations and inspires tourist to take a lot of memorable and amazing shots.

Two such companies offering rides in the city are Helisul and Rio Adventures.

4. Free Rio downtown walking tour

Rio Free Walking Tour tour helps national and international tourists understand the history of Brazil. There are two types of tours.

The first tour takes visitors through the revitalized port area, the Docks. The second one takes you through the historical center of Rio de Janeiro.

It is a very colorful experience. Tour guides mostly put on yellow t-shirts and use yellow umbrellas to make it a uniform view.

5. Chomp a Brazilian barbecue at Churrascaria

Churrascaria (Portugese) roughly translates to a steakhouse. The barbecues found in Churrascaria is, where you find the best barbecue and where all the locals come to have a bite of the delicious steaks.

One of my absolutely favorite Churrascaria place is Grill Inn in Copacabana.
